Even if you prefer administration to cooking but still appreciate food, you might have thought about getting a job in the restaurant industry. That's where a culinary arts program can prepare you for an entry-level job. The Art institute of Jacksonville (a branch of Miami International University of Art & Design) in Florida offers two culinary school programs: Culinary Arts and Culinary Management. If you choose the Culinary Arts program, you'll have an opportunity to learn cooking techniques, food safety, menu management, and cost control. If you enroll in the Culinary Management program, you'll have an opportunity to prepare for an entry-level job as kitchen manager by studying leadership, accounting, food and beverage management, and employee relations..
