GOOD NUTRITION IS GOOD FOR YOU
Everybody knows the importance of good nutrition and
doctors of today are discovering more benefits of good
nutrition and health. Ten, twenty years ago, fast food,
pre-packaged food was pretty bad for one's body.
Hydrogenated oils processed foods were found to be one of
the main causes of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and
strokes. Poor food and food substitutes were a way to bring
a good body down fast.
Eating good healthy food makes for a good healthy body and
today, people are doing all the can to consume a better
diet. Good eating and a steady exercise regime along with
not smoking, reduced drinking of alcohol, can put most
people's body back on the right tract quickly. Many health
problems can also be cured with a good healthy diet.
In the U.S. today, many women, and even men suffer from
Osteoporosis, which is the thinning of bone. A diet with
lots of calcium as well as vitamin A is an excellent way to
strengthen your bones. Another problem many women suffer
from is menopause. This condition can really make a woman's
life miserable and it's not like a cold that is with you
for a week and then it's over. Menopause symptoms can last
for a year or more. Night sweats, day sweats, hot flashes,
depression, and weight gain, are just a few of the symptoms
of menopause.
However, the key to success with nutrition has to do with
three primary things - balance, variety, and moderation.
This means that to stay healthy, you do not want to cut out
ALL of the carbohydrates or fat from your diet in that the
body needs them to function. Instead, you want to balance
the amount of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. In
addition, you want to add minerals and vitamins into your
diet that cannot be met with just food. Then, for
moderation, you want to eat balanced meals that are not
too much or too little. Obviously, too much food results
in excess weight gain while too little means various
vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
The three main things to keep in mind when we incorporate a
more healthy diet into our lives.Balance, variety, and
moderation. We need to eat all kinds of things to keep
healthy. This includes fats, carbohydrates, and proteins.
Eating too much of one thing is not good for anyone. Our
bodies are made to have all these things to keep it
healthy. Minerals and vitamin's also need to be part of
a healthy diet. Just like everything else, it takes time
and training ourselves, but our bodies will thank
us in the end.
