The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation announces nominees for the 2006 Jean Banchet Awards for Culinary Excellence

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation announced today the nominees for the 2006 Jean Banchet Awards for Culinary Excellence. Nominated by a culinary cabinet of the most discerning food, wine and lifestyle journalists, The Jean Banchet Awards celebrate innovation and excellence from Chicago’s food and wine community. The 9th annual Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Grand Chefs Gala to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will recreate the glamour and sophistication of Bollywood with its Passage to India theme. Featuring hors d’oeuvres prepared and presented by Chicago’s finest chefs, a four course gourmet dinner prepared by Fairmont chefs from around the world and dessert delicacies created by Chicago’s illustrious pastry chefs, live and silent auctions, entertainment by Energy Productions and a late-night afterparty, the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Grand Chefs Gala is the must-attend event of the season

Open to the public, tickets to the annual gala are $350 and proceeds benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; funding research to find a cure for the most common genetic disease in the United States today: Cystic Fibrosis.
