Chef's TV Studio - Coming to a Shopping Mall Near You
Chef's TV is developing it's Chef's Studio as culinary attractions and low cost television production studios in selected shopping Malls across the USA, Europe and the Far East. The digitally interlinked studios feature culinary entertainment such as demonstrations, workshops, Spouse Programs, and syndicated television production for next generation digital distribution.
Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 28th, 2006 -- Chef's Studio is developing 3,000-10,000 sq.ft. retail spaces in selected shopping malls across the United States as digital television studios for culinary entertainment. The studios feature demonstrations by leading and upcoming Chefs, competitions, product and technique demonstrations, and cost effective production for Chef’s TV Network and other broadcasters around the world.
“The lure and excitement of a working television studio plus the growing interest in culinary entertainment will make Chef's Studio a major draw for crowds young and old.” explains International Broadcaster Alan Simpson. “Initial studies show the studios can bring an additional 600 - 2500 daily visitors to a Mall, who go on to visit other stores. Already we are receiving calls from Europe, Australia and China to explore joining the network. This is the future of culinary entertainment and culinary tourism, with the capability of feeding thousands of TV channels around the world with cost effective local and networked programs.“
The innovative concept of siting the studios in retail shopping malls gives Chef's Studio access to a constantly changing audience, including Spouse Programs from local Convention Centers and Hotels. Each studio is a fully equipped television and radio studio capable of feeding the digital network, as well as creating digital media such as DVD,s and programs for mobile TV devices worldwide.
The design of the sets allows for taping of a wide range of programs other than cooking demonstrations, and the space and technology can be made available for product launches, sales meetings, and taping of corporate videos, even political events. Mall Managers have enthusiastically embraced the idea as it provides the Mall, and other tenants television and radio production facilities to access national and local cable networks, thus extending their reach and promotional activities.
Sponsors with appliances, kitchen tools and food items welcome the unique promotional and marketing concept, and with the studio having a fully stocked retail merchandising section, are eager to have their products both in the demonstrations, and on sale.
The first location in Orlando, Florida is being evaluated, followed by Las Vegas. The Mall concept was developed in Washington, DC then moved out in 2003 to a 400 sq. foot development studio in rural Maryland to explore suitable culinary demonstrations, technology and hardware. Here thousands of recipes were evaluated for ease of preparation and suitability for audiences, and constraints within a studio environment.
Chef's Studio is also working with Mall Managers to develop permanent Barbecue areas for regional, national and international competitions, technique and product demonstrations.
