JUNE DEALS LURE VINEYARD VACATIONERS TO HARBOR VIEW HOTEL
The Carlos Fuente Club House Bar Revamps Menu and Décor

(Edgartown, Mass…May 30, 2006) Hopeful Martha’s Vineyard vacationers will soon find themselves scrambling for coveted summer accommodations, but special rates at Edgartown’s Harbor View Hotel next month allow early birds to get their worm, at less expense and with less crowds. On Sundays through Thursdays through June 20, 2006, a variety of the Harbor View’s luxury rooms will be available at a special rate of $149-$199 per night (usually $245-$290). From Sunday through Thursday, June 25-29, rates will be reduced to $249-$299 (usually $360-$425). For those looking for a weekend getaway, the Harbor View will offer Friday and Saturday, June 23–24 room rates of $229-$279 per night (usually $345-$425).

“We love to give visitors the incentive to explore our island,” says Harbor View Hotel’s general manager, Dick McAuliffe. “With the Vineyard just starting to ‘pop’ with greenery and flowers, June is an excellent time to take it all in, and our historic property is any visitor’s perfect jumping off point.”

The hotel’s newly revamped Carlos Fuente Club House bar is a favorite Vineyard gathering spot with an international selection of fine beers, 22 wines by the glass, and a savory new menu cooked up by the property’s executive chef, Joshua Hollinger. The bar, which was named for Carlos Fuente, Sr., the exclusive U.S. distributor of the famous Arturo Fuente Premium Handmade cigars, is located inside the hotel and has just been updated as part of the Harbor View’s soft goods renovations.

“I’m looking forward to ramping up the bar menu and playing around creatively with daily rotating blackboard and steak specials,” says Hollinger, whose family owned and operated Gold Medal Meats, a curing and meatpacking operation started by his great grandfather in Bowmansdale, Penn. “My family’s history definitely lends inspiration to my cooking style,” he continues. “Local sausage, house cured bacon and ribs are always on my menus.”

Carlos Fuente, Jr., will visit the Harbor View Hotel Thursday, August 31, to host his annual cigar dinner with Chef Hollinger. Contact 508.627.3761 for more information. The Carlos Fuente Club House bar menu follows.

Guestroom rates, as listed above, are subject to availability and exclude tax and gratuity. Please visit http://www.harbor-view.com/currentspecials.shtml for more information or call 800.225.6005 for guestroom reservations.
