Continued Growth Spurs New Hires; Focus on Serving Customers and Building the Brand
CLEARWATER, FL, November 2005 -- Monin Gourmet Flavorings, the world’s premier producer and marketer of flavored syrups, announces the appointment of a new senior marketing executive and two veteran sales professionals. The Company is expanding its sales and marketing team in response to continued sales growth, enabling Monin to extend its leadership in the bottled flavorings category and burnish its reputation for providing market-leading service to its coffeehouse and foodservice customers.
Mary Doyle joins Monin as Vice President, Marketing, based at its USA headquarters in Clearwater, Florida. She previously served as vice president and general manager of Tissot at Swatch Group US, the legendary watch manufacturer, where her strategic initiatives led to a doubling of sales in just three years. She earlier served as retail marketing manager for Victoria’s Secret, and in various sales and marketing management positions in the cosmetics and fragrance industries. She earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in urban studies at Chatham College in Pittsburgh, PA.
Katherine Harrison is Monin’s new Western National Account Director and joins the National Account Team. Based in Redondo Beach, California, Ms. Harrison will team with the western-based national accounts and further establish Monin as the flavoring brand of choice for their beverage programs. She has spent the past ten years steeped in the beverage market, most recently as Regional Manager for national accounts at Bacardi USA, where she was responsible for 28 national accounts, with which she worked closely to develop and promote numerous signature beverages. She earlier served as a market development manager at Guinness Bass Import Company, where she developed on-premise and off-premise accounts in key western markets. She began her career at Southern Wine & Spirits, a leading distributor, where she was a salesperson, a sales manager and director of training. Ms. Harrison holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Boston College.
Monin Names Three Sales, Marketing Executives,
Anthony Vaccaro assumes the role of Regional Sales Manager for Monin, serving coffeehouse operators in the Midwest region from his office in Chicago. Mr. Vaccaro is a coffee specialist, having managed foodservice and vending accounts in the Midwest and Canada for Lavazza Premium Coffees. In that role he helped double the brand’s sales in the Chicago market, and opened new territories in the region. He previously served as New Business Development Manager in the central U.S. region for Seattle’s Best Coffee, earning that company’s Sales Executive of the Year award in 2000. His earlier positions included sales and marketing roles at nationally known beer brands. Mr. Vaccaro attended St. Ambrose College and graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a B.A. in psychology.
