Through the asset purchase of specialty food company Van Rex, The Chefs Warehouse now operates out of facilities in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Francisco , servicing top restaurants and country clubs in those cities and the surrounding areas. What started out as Dairyland, a Bronx-based, family owned distribution company purveying cheese, butter, eggs and condiments, is now a top importer and distributor of meat, produce and pastry products as well as over 3,000 grocery items including the world's finest caviar and fresh truffles.
With the national expansion of The Chefs Warehouse, the company will continually add natural and organic products to its inventory as well as work with the small farms and producers as part of their commitment to being a health-conscious and environmentally responsible food supplier.
