2. "Chef of the Month" Diane Forley

As Chef and Proprietor of Verbena, Diane has received critical acclaim from the media. Just eight weekS after opening she received a two-star review from The New York Times , and New York Magazine has likened her to a "spiritual descendant of Alice Waters." John Mariani named Verbena "one of the top new restaurants in the country" in his 1995 round up for Esquire magazine, and Gourmet Magazine describes Diane’s menu as "a highly ambitious seasonal affair made up of dishes that typically unite several intensely flavored elements." She was also named as one of America’s Hottest Young Chefs in The Wine Spectator’s round up of rising stars in 1998.

As busy as she is, Diane has found time to act as judge and Mentor for
Alizé’s Second Annual Culinary Mentorship Challenge. This recipe contest is open to aspiring women chefs across the country who wish to enhance their culinary knowledge and careers.

6. Chef2Chef is growing and we need help!

Chef2Chef delivered over 1.6 Million Pages to 365,000 visitors since our start-up in March 2000. We have 12,000 pages distributed over 3 servers to provide the fastest access possible.

Our plan is simple. Don't follow the foot steps of Lycos or Yahoo. Instead, we try to provide an easy to navigate portal that is tightly focused on the food industry. "A search for a duck won't return a link to Disneyland" has been our slogan since we started. We have heard from no one telling us otherwise.

The projects currently under development for our "Vortal" (that stands for vertical portal) will be industry firsts across the board. If you feel you can contribute to this start-up with management expertise, capital or both - we do want to talk to you. Write to Webmaster.

And last but not least, we do appreciate your loyalty - without each of you this site would not have been possible. No matter how busy we get, our door is always open to receive your thoughts, comments and suggestions.

Thank you for being a Chef2Chef patron!

Have a great week!
Your Chef2Chef Team
