Chef2Chef.net’s Notes of Interest Julia Child leaving Cambridge, MA Pepin supports World's Fishery cause ---------------------------------------- *** Associated Press and USA Today both report that Julia Child, who turns 89 in August, is leaving Cambridge, Mass., for a retirement community in Montecito, Calif. Child uses a walker, and the five-bedroom house where she wrote "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" is more than she wants to manage; the house will be left to Smith College, from which she graduated in 1934. *** Jacques Pepin and other celebrity chefs threw their support behind a new Web site, http://www.seafoodchoices.com, where anyone concerned about the world's fisheries can go to find out which sea creatures are still plentiful and which require protection. ---------------------------------------- 3.
